Reaquainting myself with the world of Mediumship
There comes a point in life when your soul gives you a little nudge… or in my case, a full-on spiritual shove back into my wonderfully Wacky Woohoo World!

There comes a point in life when your soul gives you a little nudge… or in my case, a full-on spiritual shove back into my wonderfully Wacky Woohoo World! My new WWW for short.

Last year, I decided it was finally time to dust off the books, wake up the spirit senses, and dive headfirst back into the fascinating world I’ve always loved, mediumship.

Honestly, it felt like being back on the first day of school again… equal parts excitement, nerves, curiosity, and that magical feeling of “Oooh, here we go!”

So, I joined an online mediumship course led by the incredible Billy Cook, an international medium with over 30 years of experience. And what a journey it’s already been!

Billy shares not only his wisdom and knowledge, but also his passion, humour, and dedication to helping us all grow in confidence when connecting with spirit.

After taking such a long break, because, let’s face it, life has a habit of barging in and distracting us, returning to this path feels incredibly special.

It’s like rediscovering a missing piece of myself. Years ago, I had stepped into this spiritual world, but now? Now it feels as though the puzzle pieces are finally starting to click into place.

The more I learn, the more excited I become. Every lesson feels like opening another magical door, and having a teacher like Billy guiding the way is such an honour.

Listening to his stories and experiences inspires me to focus on what I truly want to achieve and reminds me why I fell in love with this path in the first place.

So here I am… back at the beginning, learning what I love, embracing the magic, trusting the journey, and happily wandering deeper into my beautiful, bonkers, Wacky Woohoo World!

So, What Have I Learned So Far?

Well… remember the famous 80s TV programme Catchphrase and the iconic line, “Say what you see!”? Turns out spirit communication works a bit like that, too!

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that, however outrageous, random, or completely bonkers the vision appears in your third eye… that’s exactly how it’s meant to be given. Spirit doesn’t always whisper politely — sometimes it arrives with the subtlety of a marching band!

The important thing is learning to trust it. Because the message is never for the person giving it — it’s for the person sitting receiving it.

Some of the experiences over these past weeks have honestly been completely off the charts. Moments that leave you blinking, speechless, and wondering, “How on earth did that just happen?”

One exercise involved spirit association — where spirit uses a relationship from your own life to help identify the relationship connected to the recipient. During this particular practice, I was suddenly shown one of my own ancestors — my Great Aunt H.

Now here’s the mind-blowing part…

She appeared in full uniform from the Ladies’ RAF. I had heard stories during my lifetime about her service, but I had never, ever seen a photograph of her dressed like this. Not once. Yet there she was, standing proudly in uniform in my mind’s eye as clear as day.

So I asked the recipient:

“Did your Great Aunt work in service during the war?”

The recipient immediately replied:

“Yes! She was one of Churchill’s Swans at Bletchley Park!”

Honestly, I could barely catch my breath.

In that exact moment, I suddenly felt cool chills flowing through my body — instant confirmation for me of who was standing with me in spirit. It was one of those rare, magical moments that completely stops you in your tracks.

What touched me most was the feeling that my Great Aunt H had stepped forward to help create that connection. Through showing herself in uniform — something I had never physically seen before — she revealed the relationship link perfectly for the recipient.

That experience absolutely blew me away.

These are the magical little pockets of wonder that make me realise why I’ve fallen back in love with this extraordinary Wacky Woohoo World.

When Spirit Dropped Me Into the Front Line!

Another experience absolutely knocked me sideways — and honestly, if someone had told me a year ago that I’d be standing in my bedroom one minute and spiritually crawling through wartime trenches the next, I would have laughed my socks off!

I was working with another student during one of our practice sessions. She had just delivered a beautiful message to me, and now it was my turn. So, I settled into the quiet and simply asked my guide to bring forward someone this student would recognise.

Almost immediately, in my mind’s eye, over to the right-hand side, appeared a framed picture of the young character from the classic TV series Dad’s Army — none other than Corporal Pike!

And then those now-familiar words drifted into my mind again:

“Say what you see…”

Well… what happened next was completely unexpected.

In a split second, it felt as though I had been transported somewhere else entirely. Suddenly, I was no longer sitting safely at home in my bedroom. I found myself standing in wartime trenches. To my left was a man wearing what looked like a tin helmet, a whistle clenched between his teeth.

The emotions hit me instantly. Fear. Panic. Anxiety. The sheer terror of the moment was overwhelming.

Then the whistle blew.

And in the very next second, I was down on the ground, crawling for my life through thick mud, desperately trying to get to the other side. My left leg suddenly went numb. I could see barbed wire hanging above me. I could hear sounds all around me. It felt unbelievably real.

So I simply described everything exactly as it was happening — every image, every feeling, every strange detail — to the other student.

And once again… spirit did what spirit does best.

To my absolute amazement, everything connected. From the image of Corporal Pike to the frantic crawling through the mud, the student understood every single piece. She then explained that this was her Grandad. The reason my left leg went numb was because he was shot in the left leg, which eventually had to be amputated!

The final confirmation completely blew me away.

Her Grandad had been the youngest corporal in his platoon — just like the youthful image spirit had shown me through Corporal Pike — and incredibly, he had been the only one who survived.

I honestly sat there in complete awe.

The fact that spirit can take an ordinary moment in your bedroom and suddenly immerse you in an experience so vivid, emotional, and real is something I still struggle to put into words. What amazes me most is how spirit uses symbols, memories, feelings, television characters, and lived experiences in ways you will recognise, so the message can be understood.

Once again, I felt deeply honoured to experience something so powerful — another magical reminder that this Wacky Woohoo World never stops surprising me.

The Journey Continues…

My learning journey is by no means over — not even close! There have already been so many other incredible experiences along the way, and I know there are many more still waiting around the corner in this wonderfully Wacky Woohoo World. Some of those stories I’ll definitely be sharing another time!

What I can honestly say is how deeply privileged I feel to have experienced moments like these. Experiences that, even now, I still can’t fully explain. I can’t tell you how they happen… only that they do. And when they do, they leave you completely humbled, amazed, and hungry to learn more.

One thing I do know for certain is that I’ve found the right teacher for me in Billy Cook. His guidance, wisdom, humour, and encouragement have helped me reconnect with something I had stepped away from for far too long. But as with anything in life, learning is only the beginning. The real magic comes with practice, trust, patience, and simply allowing yourself to believe in what you are experiencing.

So for now, it’s about continuing to practise everything we’ve been taught so far. It’s about growing in confidence, expanding my understanding, and embracing the adventure of the invisible world that exists all around us — even if most of us are too busy rushing around to notice it.

And perhaps the most important thing I’ve realised on this journey is this:

We ALL can connect. Every single one of us.

We all have different paths to walk, different gifts to uncover, and different choices to make. I’m certainly no expert — far from it! I’m simply someone who feels like they are finally beginning to understand their purpose and slowly joining the dots that life has been placing in front of me all along.

If, somewhere along the way, I can bring comfort, clarity, healing, or reassurance to someone through a message from a loved one in spirit, then that alone makes this journey worthwhile. Because if there’s one thing I’m learning again and again, it’s this:

Our loved ones never really leave us.

They are always around us… whether we like it or not!
